This comes from an inspiration of a wonderful fanfic, which name is "Gathering Strawberry" (sorry, couldn´t get the link).
Not only is the story so appealing (here, Ichigo is a liutenant at the sereitei and Rukia in her first year of college with Renji). The story is original by itself, but you should read it, it´s so masterfully written that you get so involved with them... you learn to love them. And this is one scene that caught me so strongly.. in fact, there are a lot of parts that I´d love to draw, this one being first, for all the drama and the emotions displayed in it. Trying to train Rukia, they both are attacked by a Hollow and Ichigo is taken by surprise, so seriously wounded that he just tells Rukia to run. But she couldn´t leave him alone, so she tries to protect him, just as he did to her... and well, I wont tell any more, I recommend you to read it. Sorry Luna for the spoiler!! |

Even if I wasn't such a huge fan of her story, which I definitely am, I could still feel all of the emotion pouring out of this gripping scene.
First, the positioning is wonderful. He, even with his last shred of strength, is protecting her in a way that no one ever dared to. His hand on her hand is subtle and yet adorable.
The keen attention to detail, such as her disheveled hair and the mere shreds of her uniform, really made this a piece to be engulfed in. You can tell that she gave her all for him and it just pains him to no end to see her hurt. He is supposed to be the one to protect her. The pained expression on his face is flawless.
Last little notes... I love his hair! The shading just turned out perfect at that angle. Also, all the blood really added a dramatic flair to the piece. I think it's exceptional, but really I would expect to see nothing but amazing things coming from you.
I am in love with this piece and I hope to see more of your work soon!
